Our story

The company SUNCE was founded on August 23. 1929. as a small family workshop for the production of locksmiths.
The founder, Aleksandar Marinković, was a well-known locksmith – a master of the greatest trade, whose fences still adorn the town on Lepenica and bear witness to a long tradition of exceptional quality.

The company got its name from the symbol of the Sun, which is placed on the "stone bridge" in the centre of Kragujevac, and which was forged in "the Marinkovic" workshop, by which it is known today even outside the borders of Serbia. Excellent locksmith craft and art, but true values as well, were passed down from generation to generation as a real family treasure. The heirs of Aleksandar Marinkovic, son Ljubisa and grandsons Dusan and Vladimir, continue the tradition and successfully run the company, which today has more than a hundred employees.

The organization of the company "Sunce Marinkovic" employs highly qualified craftsmen, engineers and managers. All of them stand by the quality guarantee of SUNCE products. Excellent locksmith craft and art together with true values were passed down from generation to generation as a true family treasure. About 150 workers are employed in SUNCE. The company’s business is organized by sector. The quality of our products is based on top production, efficient machines supported by the latest software, quality of semi-finished products and cooperation with renowned suppliers. SUNCE employs over 70 highly trained and permanently employed craftsmen in its production facilities. Work is done on the most modern machines of German and Italian manufacturers, which, with excellent organization, enable a production capacity in one shift of:

Social Responsibility

Social responsibility for SUNCE is a way of doing business. We believe that our goal, as an inseparable part of the social community, is to support its development and strengthening, which especially applies to sensitive social categories. We initiated numerous projects related to the employment of persons with disabilities, environmental protection, and professional practice programs for young people and supported numerous projects of other organizations and donors with similar goals.

The company SUNCE has been rewarded with the greatest awards for philanthropy and social responsibility.

The company SUNCE Marinkovic was awarded the first European award for social responsibility in the category of small and medium-sized enterprises, followed by the Certificate for social responsibility, and in 2011 the VIRTUS award for corporate philanthropy in the category of small and medium-sized enterprises.

Since 2018, our partner in the field of social responsibility has been the production team of the show “Working action with Tamara”, in which we donate woodwork to families in need in the whole country, as well as schools, hospitals and other institutions.
